Cheryl Carswell and Phillip Stockard, founders, directors, and partners, created Channeled Paths on May 13, 2013. The origin of Channeled Paths began in 2013 with the then Georgia Family Crisis Solutions and was revamped and opened as a stand-alone 501c3 in Oct. of 2022, with operations beginning in Jan. of 2023. They intend to serve the community of the Central Savannah River Area in Georgia.

Cheryl Carswell is a graduate of Troy University with a Master's degree in Psychology and Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She became a Professor of Psychology for numerous universities in the State of Georgia.

Cheryl has also served as a lead recruiter for Troy University for the South East Region of the United States. She is the founder and director of Georgia Family Crisis Solutions. Inc. and counseled families and individuals with mental health issues.

She is a member of the board of directors for the Columbia County Board of Health and is certified as a Civil Mediator, Arbitrator, and Domestic Relations Mediator for the State of Georgia.
She serves as a Guardian ad Litem for the State of Georgia.

Phillip Stockard

Phillip Stockard holds dual Master’s Degrees in Psychology and counseling from Eastern Michigan University and Troy University. He was a site director and Professor of Psychology for Troy University.

He is a retired teacher and principal of the Jackson alternative public school program. He was the founder and co-commissioner of the Michigan Alternative Athletic Association.

Phillip was also the founder and director of Jackson Area Youth Options, a grant-funded After School At-Risk Youth Program. He is a partner, a Glasser therapist, and a founder and assistant director of Georgia Family Crisis Solutions, Inc.

He is certified as a Civil and Domestic Relations Mediator for the State of Georgia. He serves as a Guardian ad Litem for the State of Georgia.
